Encyclopedia VirginiaIn a recent blog entry, Matthew Gibson, Managing Editor of Encyclopedia Virginia, discussed an experiment the staff at EV have undertaken into the world of "augmented reality".

The entry on the EV blog includes two videos that show a proof of concept for a new way to experience the history of the world around you through your phone.

The historical data stored in EV melds with the GPS in your phone and your phone's camera to create a fascinating window into the history of the world around you.
