Folklife Apprenticeship Showcase
Virginia Folklife Program
The sixth annual Virginia Folklife Program Apprenticeship Showcase at the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities celebrated the sixth "graduating class" of folklife apprentices and introduced the incoming Virginia Folk Masters, with musical performances, crafts, and traditional Brunswick Stew.
Highlights included the legendary gospel singing of Richmond’s Maggie Ingram and musical styles newer to Virginia, such as Ethiopian Orthodox singing and Persian drumming.
If you missed this wonderful event, don't worry. We've captured some of the best moments for you!
