Virginia Foundation announces citizenship and civics education workshop
The Virginia Foundation Center for the Book is hosting a My United States workshop February 15 and 16, 2007 in Charlottesville for organizations working with immigration and refugee populations and in ESL education. This interactive two-day training prepares instructors to teach adult learners civics, history, and government as part of a literacy development course. The fee is $50 per person and each organization will receive a complete set of the eleven-volume A History of US by Joy Hakim.
