Virginia Foundation for the Humanities announces new releases
to its online store, available for the holiday season

The Virginia Foundation for the Humanities (VFH) announces the release of Re-Imagining Ireland, a compilation of essays that grew out of the 2003 Re-Imagining Ireland conference in Charlottesville. The book, edited by Andrew Wyndham of the VFH and published by University of Virginia Press, explores Irish personalities through works of literature, politics, social activism, and the arts to move well beyond stereotypical views of Ireland. Now available for purchase online, the book also includes a DVD narrated by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Frank McCourt (http://www.virginiafoundation.org).
Additional books, music CDs, and films available in the VFH store offer valuable holiday gift ideas. Your purchase doubles by also supporting the humanities in Virginia. Look for the following on the VFH website:

The VFH brings the humanities more fully into Virginia's public life, assisting individuals and communities from across the Commonwealth in their efforts to understand the past, confront important issues in the present, and shape a promising future.  For more on the VFH visit www.virginiafoundation.org.
