Outreach:

  • One day introductory workshops to role of humanities in violence recovery
  • Four-day workshops in skills development for volunteers using the humanities in violence recovery (see Listening Rooms below)
  • Professional Training in post-violence community work using the humanities, and commensurate certification through professional organization(s)
  • Listening Rooms - Assistance to those trained in setting up of small spaces where violent experiences can be discussed among peers, with aid of humanities-trained guides. These spaces can be in any facility, and will function like many other peer counseling activities, but with a humanities focus. Opportunities for telling, thinking about, understanding, writing out, working with others, and so on according to the humanities principles presented below will be possible in listening rooms.
